Hack the Crisis Norway is an online hackathon set up to meet the challenges our society is facing as a result of the coronavirus. The event is organised by volunteers from the tech and startup community in Norway.
In a hackathon, people come together to create solutions and concepts from scratch in a short amount of time. Over the course of a weekend, people all over Norway joined forces to create innovative solutions to the corona crisis.
We invited everyone to take part and cooperate to find solutions that will help us during the crisis and beyond.

New initiatives to take ideas and solutions further - to be continued…
- Save lives
The healthcare system, the government and the population are working together to get through the corona crisis. How can we keep the population healthy, battle the virus and help those who are affected? Can we develop solutions that will prepare us for future challenges?
- Save communities
Movement restrictions and social distancing are changing our daily lives and the ways in which we interact with each other. Many people are isolated, events are cancelled and communities are unable to come together the way they are used to. Can we use this crisis as an opportunity to find new ways of staying connected and building communities?
- Save businesses
Norwegian businesses are facing unprecedented challenges as a result of the corona crisis. Companies are shutting down and people are losing their jobs. How can we ensure that businesses and jobs survive the crisis? How can companies adapt to meet the new reality? Can we collaborate across sectors to find new solutions?
